Gumbo: the podcast

Gumbo: The Podcast highlights Africa and its many manifestations, from the perspective of African people globally. Focusing on culture and history, its purpose is to educate, empower, connect, and liberate the African Diaspora.

Why gumbo? Gumbo is the African word for okra. Not only is it where the popular Afro-Louisiana dish gets its name, it is representative of this African food which has been maintained as a staple all throughout the African Diaspora. It is thus an example of cultural and historical continuity amongst African people globally.
